Our jumbo shrimp come de-tailed and de-veined, so all you need to do is start cooking. For shrimp cocktail, boil water, then turn to medium and add shrimp. (We like to add a little seasoning or some subtle herbs to the liquid.) Let them poach for about 4-6 minutes, until opaque. Remove and add to an ice bath to cool. Cook to an internal temperature of 145°F.

There are literally thousands of species of shrimp, but only about 20 that are generally sold and consumed. Gulf Shrimp are among the cleanest and best tasting. Warm, relatively shallow waters create an earthy taste that’s lightly sweet and salty. Shrimp is high in protein and very low in fat, with less than 1g of fat for a 4 oz. serving.
