If sautéeing for tacos, chili, or similar recipes, ground beef only needs to be partially thawed before adding it to the pan. The heat from the pan will add enough heat to thaw the meat fully as it cooks. Cook until no pink is left or cook until internal temperature reaches 155° F.

Product Tour

Unless specifically specified (e.g., “Short Rib Burgers”, “Ground Chuck,” etc), you can assume that ground beef comes from all over the cow. Butchers grind trimmings from steaks and roasts, ensuring that valuable meat isn’t wasted and giving ground products a nice balanced flavor. Our grinds use trimmings from several primals towards the top of the cattle.
