When you need a speedy meal option, skirt steak is your answer. As a lean and thin cut of beef, it cooks rapidly and is ideal for marinating. For extra rich flavors and time-saving convenience, consider marinating overnight. This recipe from Hayley Lucero (@realfoodwithaltitude) offers a perfect healthy marinade option to try! Enjoy delicious, hassle-free dinners with our Marinated Skirt Steak recipe!

Ingredients
-
1/2 cup avocado oil
-
2 limes (juiced)
-
1/4 cup cilantro (chopped)
-
1 Tbsp. garlic (minced)
-
2 Tbsp. chili powder
-
1 Tbsp. cumin
-
1 Tbsp. hot sauce
-
1 tsp. paprika
-
1 tsp. salt
-
1 tsp. pepper
Directions
Combine all of the ingredients into a gallon size ziplock bag. Be sure all the meat is coated thoroughly and let it rest in the refrigerator between 2-24 hours.
When you are ready to cook your fajitas, pour a tablespoon of avocado oil into a skillet and heat over medium high heat.
Remove the steak from the bag and place it in your pan, throwing away the extra marinade.
Cook for about 4 minutes on each side. This can vary for how you like your steak cooked, but it doesn't need more than 10 minutes.
Serve with all your favorite fajita fixings and enjoy!
Recipe Note
- This marinade would go great with chicken too.
- You can marinate the meat 2 hours to as long as overnight
- You can serve this over a salad or in any tortilla you like.
