Beyond the Bun: Chef Inspired Wagyu Burger Dishes

Whether you’re craving a cozy comfort meal, a hearty breakfast, or a shareable appetizer, burgers can do it all. From a cheesy Sloppy Joe Dip to a rich Bolognese or even crispy nachos, the possibilities are endless. No matter the season, there’s always a new way to enjoy this classic favorite beyond the bun! 

 

Sloppy Joe Dip

Servings: 6-8 

Ingredients: 

  • 3 Rastelli’s Wagyu Beef Burgers (5.3 oz each), crumbled 
  • 1 tbsp olive oil 
  • 1 small onion, finely diced
  • 1 small green bell pepper, finely diced 
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup tomato sauce 
  • 2 tbsp ketchup 
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce 
  • 1 tsp mustard 
  • 1 tsp chili powder 
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika 
  • Salt & pepper to taste 
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese 
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened 
  • Tortilla chips, for serving 

Instructions: 

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add crumbled Wagyu beef and cook until browned. 
  2. Add onion, bell pepper, and garlic; sauté until softened. 
  3. Stir in tomato sauce, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, chili powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes. 
  4. Stir in cream cheese until melted and well combined. 
  5. Transfer mixture to an oven-safe dish, top with shredded cheddar, and broil until bubbly.
  6. Serve hot with tortilla chips. 

 

Breakfast Hash

Servings: 4 

Ingredients: 

  • 2 Rastelli’s Wagyu Beef Burgers (5.3 oz each), crumbled
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1 red bell pepper, diced
  • 2 medium potatoes, diced
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 4 eggs
  • Chopped parsley for garnish 

Instructions: 

  1. In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add diced potatoes and cook until crispy, about 8-10 minutes.
  2. Add onion and bell pepper, cooking until softened.
  3. Stir in Wagyu beef, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook until beef is browned.
  4. Make four wells in the hash and crack an egg into each.
  5. Cover and cook until eggs reach desired doneness.
  6. Garnish with parsley and serve hot. 


Wagyu Bolognese

Servings: 4-6 

Ingredients: 

  • 4 Rastelli’s Wagyu Beef Burgers (5.3 oz each), crumbled
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 carrots, diced
  • 2 celery stalks, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup red wine
  • 1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • lb pasta of choice
  • Grated Parmesan for serving 

Instructions: 

  1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add Wagyu beef and cook until browned.
  2. Add onion, carrots, celery, and garlic. Sauté until vegetables are softened.
  3. Pour in red wine and simmer until reduced by half.
  4. Stir in crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 30 minutes.
  5. Stir in whole milk and cook for another 10 minutes.
  6. Cook pasta according to package directions. Serve Bolognese over pasta, garnished with Parmesan. 

Wagyu Meatloaf

Servings: 6 

Ingredients: 

  • 4 Rastelli’s Wagyu Beef Burgers (5.3 oz each), crumbled
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 small onion, finely diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp dried thyme
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard 

Instructions: 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix Wagyu beef, breadcrumbs, egg, milk, onion, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and thyme.
  3. Shape into a loaf and place on the baking sheet.
  4. In a small bowl, mix ketchup, brown sugar, and mustard. Spread over the meatloaf.
  5. Bake for 45-50 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 160°F.
  6. Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing. 

 

Wagyu Meatballs

Servings: 4-6 

Ingredients: 

  • 4 Rastelli’s Wagyu Beef Burgers (5.3 oz each), crumbled 
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs 
  • 1 egg 
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan 
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced 
  • 1 tsp dried oregano 
  • 1 tsp dried basil 
  • 1/2 tsp salt 
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper 
  • 2 tbsp milk 
  • 2 cups marinara sauce 

Instructions: 

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix Wagyu beef, breadcrumbs, egg, Parmesan, garlic, oregano, basil, salt, pepper, and milk.
  3. Form into 1-inch meatballs and place on the baking sheet.
  4. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until cooked through.
  5. Warm marinara sauce in a pot and add meatballs.
  6. Serve over pasta or as an appetizer with toothpicks. 

 

Wagyu Nachos

Servings: 4-6 

Ingredients: 

  • 2 Rastelli’s Wagyu Beef Burgers (5.3 oz each), crumbled
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp cumin
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 1 bag tortilla chips
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • 1/2 cup black beans
  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup sliced jalapeños
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup guacamole
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro 

Instructions: 

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add Wagyu beef, chili powder, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook until browned.
  2. Preheat oven to 375°F. Spread tortilla chips on a baking sheet.
  3. Sprinkle cooked beef, cheddar, Monterey Jack, black beans, tomatoes, and jalapeños over chips.
  4. Bake for 10 minutes until cheese is melted.
  5. Remove from oven and top with sour cream, guacamole, and cilantro.
  6. Serve immediately.
